I have a passion for using creativity in all areas of our lives. I always have two or three projects going on, and am probably cooking up one or two more in my head! I have always been interested in coloring, drawing, and writing, but in the past six years or so, I have truly embraced my creativity and began teaching myself new crafts and techniques, including knitting, crochet, sewing, and embroidery.
Stick around long enough and I will probably teach you a new trick, as well as show you what doesn't work! LOL I always cook up some idea, and I would rather figure out how to do something myself than find someone else's helpful advice, but I'm working on that. Pinterest has
helped me a lot in that area. Currently, I am trying to conquer my 10+ year old sewing machine. That thing has intimidated me long enough! It's time to take over in that relationship.
Another passion I have is the friendships of women. As the wife of a former youth pastor, we moved A LOT in our first 8 years of marriage. In the beginning, it was very lonely, but I have learned over the years of the need to connect on a deeper level with other godly women, and wish to share this with other women around me. I love seeing women gather, create, and connect! This is a passion that I am still trying to figure out what to do with. I am a work in progress, and am allowing Christ to use me as he sees fit!
My family is my number one passion! I am the wife of Scott. He is the leader of our family, and I am blessed to be his help mate. Scott has supported and encouraged me in every endeavor I've encountered. He is my biggest cheerleader and I love him for that. When I am discouraged or unsure, he always knows just what I need to push me on. Scott loves music, playing guitar, and working as an Illinois Corporate Representative for Indiana Wesleyan University for transfer students and post grad online programs.
We have three beautiful children on earth, and three angel babies. When we were ready to start our family, I never dreamed of the joy and heartache that would come along. We are also now in the early stages of planning to adopt!
Bella is 8 1/2 years old and full of life! She constantly has her nose in a book, and is a fabulous second mother to our youngest, Jacob. Bella likes her time to herself, and loves to draw. She dreams of being a rockstar and a veterinarian.
Bianca is our little 6 year old spitfire. She loves to antagonize, much to the dismay of her siblings. She has a great sense of humor, and loves to joke around. Bianca is very interested in horses. She has enjoyed two years of riding lessons, in which she started riding barrels. She wants to be a cowgirl and a veterinarian when she grows up.
Finally, we have Jacob Truett. He's two years old and full of trouble. He has deep chocolate brown eyes, long dark lashes, and dimples to boot. Jacob is a mama's boy through and through.
Thank you for stopping by! I would love for you to leave a note so that I can get to know you. What are you most interested in learning more about?
